Slovenia weekend

In the end of August it was time for the annual and long-awaited hike arranged by wife's work, well she is rather engaged in it.
It is always a happy bunch who goes on these trips and the nice thing is that the better halves ;) gets the chance to come along. It's really something I look forward to every year.
This time, we were going to Slovenia to hike in the surroundings of lake Bohinj and for those that wanted/could also climb their highest mountain - Triglav 2864m
We took it easy the first day as we had an early start that morning, 4 am #yawn At the arrival in Klagenfurt /Austria we rented a bus to take us to lake Bled, which is known for its church located on an island. We walked around there for 4-5 hours before continuing with the bus to Stara Fuzina where we would staying during the entire trip.
The following morning, second day, the majority of the group started their two-day hike up to Triglav. As the hike is rather long and steep it needed an overnight stay at the top cabin, Dom Planika. Few of us stayed in the valley exploring the lake Bohinj and its beautiful surroundings.

Croatia

Starting in late July and 3 weeks ahead, it was time for a long-awaited holiday at the summer house in Croatia.
Lazy days mixed with adventure and refurbishment is how our holidays usually looks like - perfect mix if you ask me.
The camera came out few times as well so some pictures were taken and here comes the results :)

Funäsfjällen

Next stop after leaving Röros (last blog post) was Funäsdalen where we spend 4 nights to have enough time to explore the area. Did some hiking, mountain biking, fishing, trail running and so on.
We were so lucky with the weather as it only rained the last day and then also just little.
Something that I really love is fishing, and it actually went rather good. We even managed to grilled a trout in foil at the beach - as fresh as it gets. My wife finally got to taste it like that - it has apparently never happened before :))
Unfortunately I didn't carry the camera with me much. Although something that we have pics of is a bit of a secret - a lovely waterfalls (Anderssjöåfallet) that is truly worth visiting.
